Heads Up, Bangor! MDOT will be performing chip sealing through Bangor on M-43 (Monroe St) starting Monday, August 4, 2025.
NO PARKING on the street that day — parked cars will slow down the work significantly.
MDOT plans to complete the chip seal on Monday. Future dates will be scheduled for fog sealing and striping.
Work will be done one lane at a time with minimal disruptions, but expect occasional flagging that may back up traffic.
If possible, please take an alternate route.
If you must use Monroe St, please slow down and drive cautiously.
